6x6 Wisdom of the Crow Collage

     Honoring my new friend, Poe, I've included my recent "unexpected friend" illustration into this newest collage along with words frequently associated with the crow. The last time I featured Poe on this blog his fledglings hadn't started coming around yet, and so I was only feeding one. Now it's another story. Poe has taught the youngsters where to look for treats and after showing them many times, they are now allowed to get them all by themselves. I hear them caw outside my kitchen window every morning by 8:20am. After they've eaten their small handful of dog kibble, in comes Poe for his own share. This usually holds them off for most of the day, but I often hear them again around 2:00pm. From what I've read it's not good to feed them too much for fear they'll not be able to find their own meals. So I try not to spoil them too much, but it's hard some days. My dog hates it when I give his food away!

"Me first!" Says Poe. Jealous Joey sits and grovles while lounging in a spot of sun.
